FREE Addiction Family Workshop to be hosted at CSI

A weekend Addiction Family Workshop has been planned to take place at the Coastal Studies Institute beginning at 5:30 pm on Friday, November 2, 2018. The workshop will meet Saturday and Sunday, November 3 & 4, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. These hours were selected to prevent professionals, individuals and family attendees from missing work.

The program provides family members and loved ones with skills and tools necessary to being their own healing process and develop their own resiliency. This program is an intensive weekend that includes experience with group work, lectures, and presentations addressing various dynamics. Professionals who attend the weekend event will be provided 10 free professional CEUs.

Speakers for the weekend will include Lane Rust, LCDC, who was instrumental in launching the Spearhead Lodge program, and Ward Blanchard, an OBX native and founder of The Blanchard Institute Treatment Center. Topics of discussion will include: disease of addiction, boundaries, codependency, family systems, experiential therapy exercises and process groups.

This event has been made possible by The Blanchard Institute, Blanchard & Associates, Saving Lives Task Force, Marie Holland Counseling, PORT Health and BRC Recovery. Participants are encouraged to commit to the whole weekend to obtain maximum benefit.  For unique circumstances or situations, other arrangements for missing parts of weekend can be arranged and approved. Participants MUST RSVP to Shelley Callahan at shelleyc@theblanchardinstitute.com or 704.288.1097.
